VALENTINES PARTY!!

I Love Valentines Day! It was very strange having it on a weekend though. I always do a HUGE Valentines party on VALENTINES DAY for the kids, (daycare and all) This year we had it a few days early but Still FUN!!

"Heart Attacks"I tried so hard to get a good picture of the kids together, after many, many failed attempts I said "Everyone do a funny face!" and they all did! It turned out pretty cute!!

Here we are waiting for our Valentine exchange, notice the pinata in the center of the table. Not the most attractive thing, but hey it is just going whacked to pieces in 10 min anyways.

I thought it was a great idea for the kids to do a pinata, until I held it up for the first hit, and got whacked in the leg. It then was more like a golf thing and they hit it on the floor. After a few hits by each I held it up and dumped it out!! They didn't mind they got the candy all the same.

After all the fun and games it was time for lunch! Mini heart pizza, the famous mac 'n cheese,fruit and yogurt with sprinkles, and yes an ice cream cupcake at lunch! I bet you can guess what they went for first! They loved it!

Like I said it was strange to have Valentines on a Saturday. We started out with breakfast with Gram, Pop, Niki, Luke, Logan, Eric, Cole, the four of us at Golden Coral Buffet. Where we all got stuffed! Then headed over to Grams house for games and dinner. I did get something very special though. I used to listen to this country singer named Lila McCann years ago, and through the years lost her CD. Trevor went all over trying to find her CD that they don't make anymore, and finally found it! I was so excited I have been listening non stop!! I love it! Not your traditional romantic day, but it is great to be surrounded by the people you love!

Sick kids!!

This has been quite the year so far! We have been dealing with some sickies here and it is no fun! Gagie and Maycie have had a cough off and on sense before Thanksgiving, and for me I don't take my kids into the Dr. unless they really need to go. I guess this time I waited too long, oops! Two weeks ago on a Tue, Gagie was having a hard time getting a good breath, I decided he needed to go in, I took him into the closest office and after dealing with the most awful nurse in the world, the Dr. finally got into the room, took one look at Gagie and said "He needs a breathing treatment NOW!" I hope that no one has to go through that, having to hold your screaming baby down and hold a mask over his face, not to mention the machine sounds like a monster, is not a fun experience. Two hours later, 2 antibiotics, and a take home inhaler, and we finally got to go home! He has Bronchitis! Two days later at 11:00pm. he wakes up really having a hard time breathing, I give him his inhaler, doesn't help, I try everything, and I cant get him breathing right, and his fever is 104 nothing working so I call "ask a nurse" After following all of her instructions we decide he needs to go in, so at 6am I head over to the urgent care by our house. It took us two of the breathing treatments to get his oxygen levels up to a safe 95%! The Dr. then lets me know that it is probably pneumonia, but the only way to be sure is a chest xray and she doesn't want to put him through that so she sends us home with more antibiotics and a nebulizer (Breathing treatment machine) And says he has to have it 2-4 times a day! Great I get to tourcher my child 2-4 times a day! I am really excited! (I am sure you can sense the sarcasm) After the first couple of days he starts to get a ton better! Monday we wake up and I give the kids a bath, when maycie gets out I notice that she has a rash on her cheeks and her arms and legs. I start to look at it and realize .."oh no" I have only seen pics of what I thought it was, so I confirmed over the Internet. It is fifths disease. (same family as like rosiola) The more common name is the "Slapped Cheek" We call the Dr. and she says it just has to run it's course. So just when Gagie is getting better Maycie gets this. Luckily it doesn't' affect her as much as it could have, she never got a fever just uncomfortable. It is so hard when she can tell me that her arms itch and there is nothing I can do for her! As of now we are all healthy. Maycie no longer looks like I slapped her cheeks, and Gagie is running around as fast as ever! I hope it stays this way! I done with the sickies for a long while!!

SNOW DAY!!

For about a week we got some good snow that didn't melt right

away so we decided to take the kids sledding! We had such a great time!

Daddy gave the kids the first ride over to the hill!
Gagie was nervous at first but as soon as they started moving had a smile from ear to ear!

Maycie took one look at the hill and she was gone!

We couldn't get her to stop sledding for anything, not even a picture.

Gagie just stood there in awe for like two minutes just saying "OHHH...Wooh OHHH... Wooh!"

He went for one ride down the hill and then he was done. He was more interested in walking in the snow! And It was so funny watching him!

He had his mind set on getting to that wall....

It was so fun watching the kids have so much fun in the snow! I remember playing in the snow when I was younger for hours. I think Maycie and Trevor would have if Gagie and I wouldn't have been so freezing! I cant wait for the next big snow to play in!!

MERY CHRISTMAS

CHRISTMAS 2008

This year I think will be a one and only, we had to wake up the kids. We started calling out Maycie's name and we hear this grumpy "NO!" come screaming out of he room, not even two seconds later we hear, "oh ya Christmas" let's see if Santa came!" Which he did. Santa brought Maycie a Leapster (A learning hand held game) and Gaige got a spider man bike! He wouldn't get off the bike for anything. Maycie had to open most of his other gifts because he was too into his bike!

They both got GIANT snuggle pillows, Gaige got a guitar, and Maycie got some new pink shelves for her closet. (Notice the car, read the blog before this, then you'll know!)
One of Maycielyn's favorite present was from Gagie, it was a strawberry shortcake cook book and giant pink mixing bowl of her very own! She cant wait to whip up something delish!

Maycie got Mommy a special ring! She has been saying for about a month before Christmas that she was getting me a ring, and really I thought she was making one at preschool, but when I saw that little square present handed to me and she said, "Mommy open your ring." I knew. She said it was so we would love each other forever! After she said that the tears just started flowing!



Gagie got Daddy a new flat top griddle, yes it's for Daddy not me, he has been wanting one for a while now. Good job Gagie, but it didn't make him cry. After all the presents were done we headed off to Gram and Pop-pops..... where they had more presents to open.


Maycie got a PRINCESS table to go into her room to play her tea set she got for her birthday, a hello kitty camera, a strawberry shortcake pony, lip gloss, and a Tinkerbell that she can do her hair, and I am sure that I am missing a few.
Gagie got A rolling back pack, a broom, a vacuum, a golf set, an "old school" push around popper, and a bass boat with fishing pole. Notice a trend, he loves to help mommy clean, and loves anything long that he can push around!

Trevor got hooked up with ps3 games, Tomb Raider, Madden 09, Cabelas Dangerous Hunts, and Call of Duty 5. Let's just say he couldn't wait to try them out.

I got a new pair of boots, a purse, some makeup, a new blanket new silverware, a shirt, and a gift card to a boutique down town to go shopping with my mother in-law and sister in-law Very cool!

blisters, it's so much fun! We had a blast not only with that game but with playing pool and cards!

We decided not to do a Turkey dinner this year sense we did two turkeys on Thanks Giving, so we all love Mexican food so Sheryl make the biggest feast ever. Tamales, taco's, anything you could picture. plus we got to take home some leftovers. She makes the best Mexican food!! We headed home pretty early, which isn't normal, but with the kids feeling icky, and the roads getting bad from the snow we called it a night. When we got home I am sure you can guess what Trevor did, headed right for the PS3, We didn't mind though, The kids and I watched for a min, but then put in Horton Hear's A Hoo which Gaige got in his stocking! We had a Great Christmas. And we hope you all did too!

Crazy TOYS!!

CHRISTMAS EVE For the second year in a row, we have had Trevors family over for X-mas Eve dinner. We make a Italian feast. Stuffed shells, Italian meat loafs, cold spaghetti salad, Garlic cheese bread, and a green salad. The works!! We eat really early because after we watch polar express, Santa brings our Jammies and we read our Christmas book, put the kids in bed, and finish the wrapping, did I say finish, this year it was start. By 11:00 I was done and Trevor was zonked out on the couch. I looked out the window and sure enough we were going to have a WHITE CHRISTMAS!!
I had to get one picture before we went to bed. Maycie and Gagie are out cold up-stairs in bed.. Then 4:00 am hits to Trevor and I both startled from the sound that woke us up. A race car from the movie "Cars" was making noise. Trevor jumped out of bed to go see which child had gotten up. Much to our surprise both were still out cold, then another feeling hit. Worry, Trevor got his "protection" and went all sneaky downstairs. I could hear him walking around checking everything out. His report, Nothing. The present was still wrapped, nothing touched doors locked. DO DOO DO DOO! We decided to disregard it and headed off the dream land. About 15 min later. " BOOM BOOM PUMP IT UP!" again the same toy, this time Trevor jumped up and a little more angry and worried now headed down stairs. Report. Nothing move or touched. By this time we are both not sure if we should be totally freaked out or just laugh. Trevor had just gotten me convinced that we should laugh it off, closed our eyes, and "BOOMBOOM PUMP IT UP"!! AHH what kind of toy is this!! So We both went downstairs found the toy under the tree and put it in the laundry room, so we could no longer hear the possessed toy!

Don't worry he still got the toy, but.. we are Watching it!!

On Tuesday we got to go and watch Maycielyn preform her preschool Christmas program. She has been so excited for weeks. She has been prancing around the house for weeks singing various Christmas carols. It was nice, for once, for there to be no pressure! I got to just be a parent and watch! I loved it! She did so great! We are so proud of her! Maycie's Gram got her this Christmas dress a few weeks ago, and I don't think that a day has gone bye that she hasn't asked when she could wear it. She was ecstatic that she finally got to wear it out! She said "..everyone is going to love it.. I look just like a princess!"

She waited so patiently for her teacher to start the next song. She had a permanent smile pasted on! We could tell she was trying so hard to make it perfect! And it was!

She did every motion so cute, and she didn't miss even one! She sang every word, and every once in a while we could pick out her distinctive, high voice.

She was so excited to stand next to her "Buddy" Logan! They are so cute doing the motions opposite, like they planned it!

After they sang "Santa Clause is Coming To Town." They had a special visitor come in. I am sure you can guess who is was.. Maycie's got so excited she could hardly contain herself. I thought that she was going to jump off the risers to get to him. They finished the program singing "Jingle Bells." With the one and only Santa!

While waiting in line to see the Big Guy Trevor snapped this picture. I Think that it is so funny that at this particular moment I was so focused on Santa I didn't realize I was in my own little world. It's like they looked at Daddy and they all thought at the same time. "crazy Mommy hee hee!"I still love the MAGIC of Christmas.

Maycie loved seeing Santa! She told him that she wanted a Pony that eats carrots, and what a great Santa.. he told her yes! AHHH SANTA!!

Gaige did great while we were watching "Sisi" with Santa...

But when it came to him sitting on Santa, he wanted nothing to do with him!! Talk about a

death grip! It took him a good 10 min after we walked away for him to even pick his head up off my shoulder!

This is the first time that we have gotten a family picture, and it still isn't complete! We are missing uncle Erik and Aunt Colee! But it is a start! I love seeing us all together! I love everyone in this picture! It truly shows who we are! Gram and Pop-pop Beautiful and Handsome! Luke the cool kid, Gaige is just as interested in Logan's drink as Logan is. Trevor and Niki are already done with the photo shoot, and Me and Maycie, we love to pose! What a great NIGHT!!

15 min of Fame

IT'S NOT EVERY DAY YOU GET TO BE ON THE COVER OF THE NEWS PAPER! COOL HU!

I got a call in early Nov. from Kiddie Kandids. They asked if I would come back and help for the holiday rush! I agreed figuring that it would be nice to go take some pics and get a little extra Christmas cash! Well little did I know it would turn into this! The Idaho Statesman was doing an article on "KK" so we had a photographer following us on a Sat. So there it is My 15 min of fame!
